You could use the Robinson Racing 48 pitch spur gear setup. I'm pretty sure that will be TCS legal. They won't strip like the fine pitch gears do.

Hi WRX...
I also have the Integy gears and they're pretty light compared to the stock gears... I believe the counter gear (which connects to the spur gear) is of slightly different pitch(much finer) so you will notice a difference in "noise" compared to the standard TA03 gears. Speed wise (last time I ran my car was back in 1999!), I felt the car had more torque probably due to less drag from the thin diff gears.
By the way, this is a nice interesting thread... I'll try to take pics of my 2 cars when I get home... both are equipped with Cross, Integy, Pheonix and Tamiya hop ups... They've been sitting on my shelf for quite some time now and deserves much needed attention... Thanks for reviving this car...

I can look for you. You might still find it on the Robinson Racing site as well. I wonder if I have them. I use to use them from time to time.

I really wish GTP California is still up and going, before in the past issues of car action they always advertised this TA03 with all the jap goodies.

I will post some once I put it back together. Right now it is in pieces as I'm waiting for my new 03R-S FRP chassis to show up and I might be getting a new graphite version as well.

Ebay prices are appealing.
I need a new ESC for my 03 but I'm very hesitant to buy a 2nd hand one.
Hey FUK_WRX, you don't work at Bergs do you?
