Tamiya TRF415
Figured I would put up this pic while it's still on the same page as my others. Might help someone who needs to install a VFS-1 ESC...

Nice and tidy, I kept the motor wires on my KO relatively long, to give it some slack and easier for me to solder

[QUOTE=habis;4538457]the spool is available EVERYWHERE........you just have to buy it in parts and put it together...
hi, just got a TRF415 MSX MRE. it has a front one way spool. both front left & right wheels spinned at the same direction when i turned it. it seems that its locked for 1 direction only. is it alright to have that? use to drive TT01D. found that the TRF415 is a lot better to drive now.
what's the different between Ball Diff & Front One Way? hope you guys who's more expert than myself to give me some advice. thanks.

I suggest you stick with what you've got, and see if it works for you. But if nobody else is running a front one-way at your track, chances are you shouldn't either...

sounds like he may have center one way and front spool?
hi guys,
i decided to buy trf 415 msx mre, my problem is a little about where to buy it.
i searched, posted in the for sale threads, no luck for 2 weeks.
trf 416 is kind of expensive (as i will be needed many spare parts for it), in the online stores i couldn't find 415 , (in one place i found it the price was only 30 usd below the 416)
where do you think i could get the best price for 415?
any second hand with the spares will be lovely.
thanks for the replies

What you have is a front one-way. A spool is locked in both directions. A front diff would be exactly the same as the rear diff. Each has very different effects on the car while driving, and should be used under different racing circumstances.

It simply depends on where your racing. Our tiny parking lot track pretty much necessitates a front one-way to get through all the low-speed turns quickly.
If you can't keep up with the others that are using a ball-diff, THEN you should think about ordering one. Otherwise, save your money for tires...

Parts Needed -
Hi gents, after selling my MSX and my MRE, i found my old original 415 chassis parts. Im puting it back together with the leftover parts i had. Im missing one diff bearing and adjuster (the diff bearing holder which you use to adjust the belt tension) i also need a full set of the suspension arm shaft ball ends (what a mouthfull) the part that goes into the suspension mounts. If anyone has these small parts, please let me know, paypal waiting etc. I *think* i have all the other parts required. Im looking forward to seeing what the old girl has left in her!
Cheers!

With the 415, unless it is carpet, you usually use the one way for higher turn motors, and use the spool for mod motors.

Also what sway bar kit works on the front of the car???? can find the rear bar kit but cant see the front 1...base model TRF 415.
TIA
