There are a total of three stick pack conversion kits:

49341: TRF415 Lower Deck for Stick Type Battery
49385: TRF415MSX Lower Deck for Stick Type Battery
49436: TRF415MSXX Lower Deck Set for Stick Type Battery

The one I have is the first one, since I have a TRF415MS. It is significantly cheaper if you can find it since it only contains the lower deck, battery holders, battery post and battery plate i.e. there are NO bulkheads. This cost me about US$75 from WalaWala Shop (www.valavala.com/) a few months ago.

Note that this one has a 3mm lower deck, since it is in fact for the original TRF415. There was no dedicated stick pack kit for the TRF415MS, which comes with a 2.5mm lower deck. Actually, there wasn't one for the MSX MRE either.

The only problem with the original conversion kit is that the suspension mounts are slightly further apart on the original TRF415 deck, since that chassis did not used the reversible suspension set. The TRF415MS, MSX, MSX MRE and MSXX all use a 3mm by 46mm shaft for the suspension arms, while the original TRF415 used 3mm by 48.5mm shafts for the suspension arms. The part number for these shafts are 9805681 and cost US$5 from RCMushroom (http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....ducts_id=10327). I had to get these and use extra spacers on the suspension arms, but it wasn't a problem.

The part 49378 is the conversion kit to turn a TRF415MS into a TRF415MSX, and doesn't contain a lower deck.

To answer my own question, I run a front one-way and had to change the front swing shafts from 46mm to 42 mm when I changed to the short suspension arms. Otherwise the swing shaft pushed too hard into the front one-way cup and the front wheels weren't as free as they should have been. I didn't have to change the rear swing shafts, though.

ok thanks for that clarification very helpful but one last question if i have a 415MSX MRE and i would like to convert it to a stick pack chassis would the MSXX lower deck stick pack chassis (49436) fit as Rnold was asking or should i go with the MSX lower deck stick pack chassis (49385) sorry for a lot of questions just got to be sure before i order thanks

If you have an MSX MRE that means you have the new steering system which is different from the standard MSX, correct? If so, then the MSX stick pack conversion won't work because it will only have the holes for the old steering system. Therefore, you would have to get the MSXX stick pack conversion. Keep in mind though that the MSXX has a differently shaped front bumper support (angled instead of straight), so you would have to get the MSXX front bumper The part number is 51253.

Hey all

I`m back and work again.

I drove 15 times during the last weekend race and i have to say at that 16 ball diff feels like new.

I´m sure that 18t pulley made drivetrain much sensitive and it felt different vs original.

I drove at Novak ss5800 brushless and SMC IB4200wc cells with 7.5 gear reduction and feel was at my car flies

Kentech use that same diff/pulley combo in his Tamiya, but he drove modified...

You just need to run wider front toe blocks to use the 46mm shafts. I can't remember the combo as such, as the car is at home and I am at work.

True, but I don't want to. I run 1B/1A at the front, and I don't want to go any wider. Otherwise, what was the point of the shorter front arms? I think this is a problem only for the front one-way, if you were running a diff or spool then it wouldn't be a problem.
