Guessing this is the MSX Refine2 kit we are talking about here, are the sway bars similar in shape/size to the standard 415s? If they are, I am keeping my full set and selling the car with red rear and yellow front sway bars.

Looks like I need to get some toe blocks as well.

Err the rear uprights are not new at all, they're the 0° ones that came with the Ms worlds champion set, and they have been available ever since.

Now the part number of the blades would be more useful...

Don't worry, Tamiya will bring out a full set of the new diff joint with all the hardware.

I will do. Just doing a dry build of it at the moment to get a feel for the kit before pulling it to bits to prep everything.

53890 Swing Shaft Protector
I think these are the blades. Maybe the Corally blades are working also.

Default New MSX Refine 2 Parts

From what I've noticed so far there are not alot of new parts that the Refine 2 has. New bottom plate w/ extra hole for the rear bulkhead stiffner, rear bulkhead stiffner, adjustable alum diff assembly w/blades & blue alum 3x10 mm tie rods for stabilizer posts. The other new tid bits not mentioned above does not have that much of an impact on the performance on the kit in regards to handling. I think the major must have part is the alum rear bulkhead stiffner for those who plan to keep their 415 MSX converted versions. It would be nice for me though to have a new RC kit to build again. I just can't come to the point of shelling out $440 ++. For those who've decided to get the Refine 2 kit, I envy you. It's a blast to build Tamiya kits & run them afterwards.

I'll probably wait next year for the stores in Asia to carry the new bottom plate & alum rear bulkhead stiffner & also purchase the 3x10 mm tie rods. The new rear diff, still thinking if I should get it.

List of some of the new/option parts with the 415 MSX:

Gold hinge pins,
Steel outer hinge pins,
Fluorine king pins,
Gold shock shafts,
Knurled shock tops and bottoms,
Alloy rear hubs,
Crush spacers for between bearings,
Roll bar stops,
Gold shielded wheel bearings (new item possibly?),
New chassis with hole under motor and screw hole for centre brace,
5mm wheel hex's.

That is it off the top of my head.

Rick, would you take that new hole's position on the chassis for me mate ? Have a look at last page for the dimension i'm looking for. That'd be great !

Thx
