well, I'm gonna find out how good the ACER balls are... and the bearings for that matter. Just ordered a complete set of ceramic bearings for the the MSX... and I took the opportunity to get diff balls at the same time

£65 inc shipping (which is actually free atm anyway)... not bad if you ask me

Can't wait for my MSX conversion to arrive now, along with all the parts to make up a second car... so nice to have finally have an indoor and outdoor car Save messing around changing all the suspension and shocks over.

You will be very happy with the bearings. They do however take quite a while to break in. To speed up the process, put them into a container like a film canister and shake them hard for a few minutes. Repeat that around 5 times and let them dry, should be nice and smooth in the morning.

BTW - the free shipping thing has been the same for over a year now. Nice little plus with getting stuff from them though. I'd try the Sin bearing oil as well, works nicely. OH, and don't ever remove or try to remove the shields. Absolutely no need to at all.

I'll second that, I have been more than impressed with the Acer products. I use Acer bearings in everything now.

cheers for the tips. One Q though, have you junked any of the hub beaings since using the ACER's?

Shouldn't be too much of a problem to me though, I've got the alloy rear hubs on the car, and so far only ever junked on front hub bearing after a huge off that destroryed a wishbone, c-hub, and knuckle all at once... bloody broxtowe yump quick tip... never go off the side of it

Ed, one of the great things about Acers ceramics, the Hub bearings stay smooth as butter !! They are nothing like the steel metal sheilds.

I normally use the Square alloy uprights and c hubs for the front as well and I have never junked a 950 bearing since using those, even with OEM bearings. The ACER is actually a harder material and I think even a bit heavier too, so if you could junk one of those, it'd be a MASSIVE hit.

Talking of acer upgrades etc - I was just wondering if anyone knows someone who makes Aluminum Front Upright's for the TRF415MS - I actually mistakenly ordered some for a TRF415 (dob!) then searched for the MS version but could'nt find any!

BTW - Anyone who wants Alluminium fronts for a non-MS I have some for sale

I think that diff is for the last car tech made, the bulkheads are much wider than the 415. Although their new car, the Medusa, has much narrower bulkheads, if/when they release an externally adjustable blade equipped diff for this new car, then i would say there will be a good chance it will fit the 415.

There is a similar diff existing for the 415. Jürgen the guy from Germany who made the EVO3 oneways and the front diff for the 415 also made an aluminium rear diff what is externally adjustable and is using blades. I have to look if I have a picture laying around here.
