Hi, i'm looking to buy a Tamiya TRF 415 and i have a few questions.
Do you know if AE TC3 springs fot the Tamiya shocks? or if any, but tamiyas do?
I hear that Jaco 28mm Foams don't fit, is that true?
I heard the top deck can tweak easily if you hit the bords, is that true?
Are there any little tweaks in the car, like little problems, or things that break easily?

Well since your used to a shaft driven car, going to a belt driven one is probably going to be a little bit of a shock because it does take a bit of time to get use to the lay out and changing belts can be a headache for the first few times but when you get used to it it's easy. As far as taking care of it, one thing you have to keep an eye on if you race outdoor's is the pulley's on the car, as sometimes small object's (rocks) can get jammed up in the pulley's and slow your drive train down and destroy your belt if you leave it in there. Another thing is just keep an eye one your belt tension, it shouldn't be too loose, but should never be to tight, just stick with the stock setting and it should be good. Can't really think of much else, but changing belts on race days can be slowed down if you change your belts fairly regularly and don’t leave damaged ones in when you know the haven't got much life left in them.

this car will be purly carpet, so check for crap in the belts and make sure they arn't tight? what is tight? how long the belts last before i have to change them? the car has 2 extra black sets plus a white set on the car. how do i tell a belt is wearing down? When you say getting used to the layout of hte belt what do you, the way it performs or the way the chassis is set-up?
the car i'm buying doesn't come with a manual, does anyone have a computer verion i cna't find one on tamiya's site

I've got a PDF scan of the manual here (415 only, not MS):

With the belts tension, they seem loose at the standard setting but it works very well.
Not sure how often you race, or what class you race, so I'm not even going to try and estimate a life span on your belts, but when they start to fraigh or split, then they should be replaced.
I am sure someone who races one carpet can tell you a rough life span on belts.

Looking at getting a secondhand TRF415 , do GP3700 cells fit right without any or much work to the chassis ? The TRF415 will do me until the new beltdrive comes out.
Dunno what it is about the TRF/EVO range of cars but i always seem to come back to them sooner or latter , just carn't get other makes of car to go as fast or get the results like i can with the Tamiya's.

Mine fit in great. I did buy my car used but when they sanded the chassis slots they did a fine job on them and 3300 and 3700 cells fit with zero problems.
