I've found that if I just use a lot of grease on the stock ones I dont get much chatter at all. Supposively Losi will be making their new driveshafts/axles for a number of cars which will basically take all the chatter out of the car even if you have your dual rate turned to the max.

They have a nice facility. I have been there when I gone to NJ to visit family in that area.

Seems like the 415 is becoming very popular in the UK, Jimmy Maddison TQ'ed the carpet wars meeting in stock with one and he had only built it the night before and a big name was also seen racing one as well.

Is the chatter just with spools? Never had problems with chatter with the 415 until now using a oneway.

Ed,

You claim that dropping the rack reduces the bump steer to zero, right? How does this affect steering and handling?

Thanks

Default Decision Made!

Hi all,

I posted my last post from Milwaukee at the TCS race. The EVO III is a brilliant car but I broke down and got the 415 MS

I can't wait to get it together. Does anybody have a good rubber carpet set-up for the 415 MS? Preferable tighter, more technical tracks (i.e. RSJ). Thanks for all of the help and replies.

Tony,

TCS was really cool. They gave a away a lot of great stuff at the end including a Tamiya $900 R/C Tank -- too cool. I unfortunately did not win anything, but the entry fee is free, so what more can you ask really? How is your new 415? Maybe you'll get to race at next year's TCS race.

Want to find out the difference when you flip the graphite plate on the steering rack? I notice it'll move the inner ball stud either forward or backwards. I'm terrible when it comes to ackerman....

Here is my carpet set up. This is for foams though so you will want to soften the car up a but from this point.
For carpet, make sure you run a front diff, locked center pulley, buy the stock 415 suspension and it would be beneficial to run the thicker 3mm chassis of the standard 415.

Default camber link angle

what does camber link angle do? i hear that if it's parallel to the a-arm, it generates less traction. some times, i heard the opposite....
