Thats pretty cool, never would have thought about using wheel hexes to hold down the batt. Also consider that there really is 0 stress on it clamping over the wheel pin, but on impact there will be some stress on it with your setup, make sure they wont come off..

Plus the hexes will control how much pressure uou want to put on the batteries!

Just one last thing about this. I know that it will add weight to the car but sometimes when I'm just practicing I hate taping and re-taping the batteries in over and over again, so this is my lazy man's way of doing things. But, if this does work, talk about a quick change set-up for an enduro race. Maybe modify on side of the post for even faster battery change?

I didn't think the hex hubs was a good idea! But as fast as the wheels spin and as much banging around the tires put on the hexes, I figured this should hold. I tried putting some force on the hold down and they didn't even budge.

I've been talking to Jurgen about getting a spool made up, trying to work with him to design one thats made to give more steering than whats out right now. I dont know if he's interested in making more than one of them, but would anyone be interested in them, I can let him know theres a market if so.

i thought its from Tb02. coz i tried Tb02 battery holder before, it does not fit, a bit longer.

Hi,

I used it as a starting setup in 19T on high grip carpet and it works well. Keep in mind it's for rubber tyres though.
