I am running the Orion 3200 lipos in my 415 MRE. I found that by taking a dremel tool and removing a slight bit of material from the rear bulkhead (where the contours are to fit a 6 cell pack), the battery will fit. I removed about 1 mm (or less) of aluminum which allows the battery to slide in easily. This modification does not look unsightly and in no way effects the structural integrity of the car.

Hopefully a future release of the 415 will be 100% lipo friendly to include lateral weight balancing.

Mine worked fine. You just have to tilt the battery from the side to slide it under the rear bulkhead. I have also filed the battery holes on the lower chassis for regular sub c's to fit better so maybe it needs that little extra for the lipo pack to fit. Oh yeah, mine is an MRE also.

i purchase a 3racing fan for my trf and i like to know where do you plug this thing.its strait to the the battery or to the receiver?

Hi there
Solder straight to the positive/negative Battery leads on the speed controller. That way you can turn the car off and go and marshall and the motor fan will stay on while the car is turned off.

Ok, not Monday, but still Sunday here.

Gave the car a run today at the races with the short arms.

Car has tons more grip than with the longer arms. Also not as twitchy under power (although only running Stock, so YMMV). That much grip it pretty well cooked my tyres in not too hot conditions.

Car seemed a lot smoother with the suspension change. Sure there might be a placebo effect, but even co drivers noticed the changes with my car. And the short arms are a hell of a lot more stronger than the long ones. I got punted into a corner with a wood barrier, and the car bounced off, no broken front arm.

I highly recommend the short arm setup. Here are the toeblocks I used

Front: 1B-1A (the bridge 1A block, which came on the original 415)
Rear: 1XA-1D (2.5 deg Toe in)
Running 42mm outdrives on the front with the one way, as the 46mm bind up.

what do you think will be the effect of this modification.?. i flipped the steering into much lower position.. see pics for comparison.. look closey into the steering arm and compare.
