Tamiya TRF415
Mario,

I take all my bad comments back about the MRE , after this weekends racing the car was awesome. I have had to change a few things to calm the car down though , biggest improvement I have made is to change the front block to 1A , by running the front wishbone pins parallel has settled my car down.
I have also replaced all bearings with abec 5 which makes the drivetrain smoother. Maybe if the car plays up again I will come on here and bitch about it

Well the MRE showed it was worth the money this weekend. Big meet out of town. I TQed stock, 1 of only 3 Tamiyas in the whole field. The rest were Xrays. I would have had the win except for a bad start, and a stupid attempted passing move on the last lap. It sucks to be an honest person, and let the guy back infront to drive over the finish line first lol.
If anyone wants a very nice setup for the following - 26mm foams / Carpet / large sweeping track, hit me up with a PM.

Hi Chaz,
Looking at the Thrashnall results it seems that you like your car , I will be up there this weekend so may swap idea's. I ran my car for the 1st time at Ashby (BTCC) and it seemed to go downhill from there , but now its getting there.
Are you still running the spool with yours. I have a 1 way I modified from my MSX to try. (If anybody wants to know how to modify its pretty easy).

Yep still running the spool whilst everyone else around me are using one-ways lol. Could do with a little bit more off-power mid corner steering (just enough to notice it when your on a quick round of quali) so i might try a shorter rear wheel base or a harder rear roll-bar.

I will have my 1 way if you want to try it. I ran a Komodo at the cardiff club this weekend Pretty Dam Quick!!
Found some more MSXX pictures during the last few days.
Links and pictures are as always on my blog; http://kentech.blogs.se
Here's probably the best quality pic of the MSXX yet:

A couple of pictures here of what looks to be early prototypes of the original 415:

I know I've seen a picture bottom of the MSXX chassis somewhere too, just don't remember where right now.

Here's the picture I was thinking of. It's a scan from RC Sports magazine.

Start point
Running carpet with foams.102 spur...56-57mm tires.Using the trinity purple endbell handout stock motors. It's a small tight track, usually with alot of technical sections.I just need a start point for gearing.Rollout?Pinion?Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Mario.
Mario ,
Yes the blocks did settle the car down , It took the sharpness out of the steering (everyone who drives my cars say they are smooth to drive).
If the track is very tight then start around 7.2 - 7.8 for a monster and go more than 7.8 for a roar , this is obviously difficult to advise but the ratio I give you is a safety area.

I heard the MSXX lower deck is 2mm, is that true?

The pic of the magazine, the part which shows the side of the MSXX, there is a small print saying about 2.5mm & 2mm. Probably thats the chassis thickness...
Anyone knows Japanese here??
