Just trying to see what parts are needed to upgrade.

Erik, from what i saw in the manual, the diff adjustment compensates for the different pulleys... the base settings are quite different from center mark. i didnt check length on them, but i can tonite. i just got my kit in this weekend while i was gone to Memphis, and just opened the box...

The transmission ratio with the new pulleys is apparantly 2.25.

Does the MR edition come with white or black belts. I was given the new transmission parts a while ago with some black belts which I believe are longer.

Also, does the car come with the centre point steering? Is there a spacer that goes between the ball stud and the lever for the track rods? if so, can someone please tell me what size it is.

Like I say I have had the parts for a while and want to build my 415 for the weekend but have no manual or idea how some of the smaller bits go together!...

Cheers,

thanks Wes,
Let me know if you can confirm with new and old belts. I have a stock pile of black belts from the old car as well as a set of slightly stretched white belts (NIB set as well). hate to have to pitch them just for a slight increase in ratio - 2.8%. I beleive the front belt will work off the old car, but the rear might be a stretch (sorry bad pun) even with the adjustments in the blukhead.

Where did you see that? ...not doubting you or anything, just wondering if I missed it in the manual or something?

yes it comes with black belts that are longer than the white ones..the white ones fit, i am using for now..

also because the diff and spool pulleys are 36t and the center is 16t you get 2.25 internal ratio 36/16....

simple math Harsh

i figured it was 2.25... looks like the TA05 pullies, and that really nice center spur mount/pulley holder, also using Toe5 as well...

now off to prep chassis and get started.

Talking RE: wrenches

MIP's are the bomb! All you need is 1.5mm and 2.0mm and your set!

They don't get any better than that!
Just my 2$
