Default Just a thought

Don't shoot me I just wanted some feedback on a thought I had today.

I have two local tracks, both run USVTA, but one runs it on the same day as a lot of other classes and the other it's normally the only class.

So the difference is a 3-4 hours race day or a 7-8 hour race day.

Well as a father of 2 I just can't do the 8 hour race days anymore, so I had a thought tonight and wasn't sure if it was feasible.

Instead of running all the classes at the same time, would you be able to get as many races in the same amount of time, but run each class straight through?

That way those that run one class don't have to be there for so long and those that want to run several classes still have the same length day?

Or maybe 2 classes in each time period to allow for longer breaks between heats

Seems like most tracks I visit they dont have enough heats that the day extends 8-9 hours. Most seem to be able to run a round in an hour or less and have 15 min between rounds. I supposed if you did have a track with a day that long it might work.
