Default Racing in New York area?

Just wanted to poll the rctech folks on the electric racing scene in and around NYC.

Might be spending a little time out there and was curious as to wheres and whens.

Thanks in advance.

Well... You have a few places, nothing special...

Bruckner Hobbies in the Bronx- On Road
Willis Hobbies is Mineola- On Road
Farmingdale- Off Road
South Shore in Coram- On Road

During the summer they also run On Road at Floyd Bennet Field in Brooklyn...

I know there's a few more places upstate and in NJ...

Never been to Brucknre, I think it's indoor carpet...

Willis, indoor carpet... Extremely tight, very technical..,

Farmingdale, indoor off road... Hard Pack...

South Shore, indoor carpet... 8 turn modified material... Very large...

Floyd Bennet field, asphault, I think they have an off road back there only running during the summer... There's also an AMA sponsored flying field also..

Here is a link to South Shore we could use another XXXS out there, it's predominantly TC3 dominated. www.southshorehobby.com

I think Bruckner Hobbies is done with there race program. South Shore Hobbies rules the Northeast. You won't be disappointded!! Great facility and the best competition. I welcome any racer to come down and have a great time racing in one of the largest indoor racing facilities.

We have a tropy race coming up and it's before Cleveland. Great tune-up race. Check the website for sign-up and date info.

Hope to see new faces this winter.

Happy Motoring!! Alex v.

Mdawson- that's where I came from, spent about 7 years in N.J. before moving out here. Sometime this winter/spring I'll be moving somewhere else but I don't know where yet.

I don't have the time nor the patience these days to worry about the maintenence issues on a low turn modified. Did you guys get the 19 turn spec class going out at SSH?
