How am I suppose concentrate on racing after seeing these pics. With more to come I may never race again

Hi I'm from the Bay Area (Vallejo) and just getting into electric cars.
I used to be into nitro 5 years ago.
Getting back into the rc game again but electric.
Finding out one of the biggest races of the year (REEDY R.O.C. 09') is going to be about an hour away from where I live I'm juiced!
Anyways I'm looking to meet new people that live close by in the bay area to help me out on what electronic components to choose such as (motor, esc, batteries, etc.)
Right now I'm currently building my 1/10 touring sedan kit, no electronic parts purchased yet.

Hello Fluxhonda, no problen on the thread that's what it's here for.
MOTOR:13.5 any top brand, Hacker, Novak, LRP, Trinity, Losi, Express or Tekin.
ESC: LRP spx, TEKIN RS or Novak. The KO is real nice but just not to start out just getting back into racing.
BATTERY: SMC , Thunder Power or Trinity.
Those are not choices in order because there is other companies out there you just will go wrong at this point with these top companies.
