The free HPI body is a bonus for entering the race and you do not have to use the "free" body (although you could..but then you'd have to paint it there etc. )

Thanks,

In the rules for RCGT it states "no IFS bodies"
Does this refer to the Tamiya bodies that come with the TA05 / TB03 IFS chassis?

Yes, basically the IFS bodies have a much lower frontal area that requires the IFS shock/chassis configuration.

We are still discussing specifics for the Invite class most likely very similar to last year.
Open mod and 13.5t Spec will use ROAR rules, meaning ROAR approved batteries, motors and bodies. Weight will also be ROAR minimum.

Tires will be decided soon. I understand everyone wants to practice on the race tire but we have had some new manufacturers contact Scotty wanting to be involved. This means tire testing needs to be done and Speed World needs some decent weather to get that completed.

Maybe the manufactures should get their tire's in earlier. Looks like the warm up race will be nothing more than a glorified club race again
