Default HELP! V-BALANCER AND ORION CARBON CHARGER?

Hi guys,
Ive did a search and havnt really found a solution to my problem so i guess a post would help me better.

I have an Orion Advantage Carbon Edition Charger and i am trying to do a "balance charge" to my lipo cells through a TrackPower V-Balancer.

The Orion charger charges fine without the V-Balancer, but when i try to balance charge, the Orion charger beeps and error saying "Check the battery"... (orion platinum lipo)

The V-Balancer is in "Link Mode" with the two orange >> lit up.
Once it is in link mode i attempt to charge and this is where the problem occurs.

Does anyone use this charging/balancing setup? What am i doing wrong.

Any help would be great.
Thanks.
Ed

This might be a dumb question but is is staying in link mode?

I have the same balancer and sometimes when I get ready to charge the balancer will kick itself out of link mode. I would make sure it is still in link mode when you actaully start the charge on the charger.

Not sure if this has helped mine or not but I got into a habit of hooking up the + first, then the balancing tap, and last the - wire. I have been doing this the last few weeks and it does not come out of link mode when it it hooked up this way.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your input,
The balancer always stays in link mode. (the orange >> are lit during my entire charging attempt)

I will try the connection steps in which you described.
But from what i recall, link mode is always active so really i shouldnt have a problem.

Its really annoying and i don't want to have to buy another charger.
So i'm trying to remedy this before pulling my wallet out.

Thanks.
Ed

Hmm, ok i will check that out.

But the funny thing is that it works on my friends Swallow Lipo charger.

I've checked the fues and its is all good.
It works perfectly on my friends charger so its not the vbalancer.

It maybe be the charger but its weird since it charges perfectly in lipo mode without the balancer.

Anyone else have any solutions?
