Well, best is a difficult answer, as not one shell will suit all

A good all round shell is the protoform mazda 6.

Prepare yourself for a million different answers. Me personally, I liked the R9R but a lot of people did not. The popular body right now is the mazda 6 or speed 6. I have not run the LTC-R outside yet but I like the way it feels on carpet.

Most of the Protoform bodies, you have to get them and experiment, then tell us which is the best for you, and why.

I really enjoy the Dodge Charger body. It's a bit boxy in the front but flows air pretty nice and is great for sneaking up and passing. Great drafter when you are in the hunt on the track and looks fantastic. Just don't paint it ghetto. lol

I ran the Protoform MazdaSpeed 6 for a long while, both regular and lightweight versions, until I got wind of the Tamiya Legacy B4 racing body. The Tamiya is easily my favorite now. It's roofline is lower than the Speed 6.
