I would guess that those alum blocks have inserts that you can rotate and switch out for different toe angles, hard to tell from those pics tho.

Maybe the mounts are eccentric and allow for different angles. There are two holes in the top of them which would indicate that.

I hope there's an option of low shock towers so we can run GT style bodies.

It expect the new Phi to be cheaper then the current Phi due to all the nylon parts.

- Plastic Hubs
- Plastic Hing Pin Mounts
- Plastic Servo Mounts
- Plastic Bellcrank

Ill be staying with the current phi me thinks

Default Corally PHI driver SA

Hey guys, I been racing corally for a while now. The new PHI is improved, when looking at the plastic parts they may seem like the cheap version but this is not the case. Although they are cheaper then their duraluminium counterparts, it does not mean the quality is lower. The plastic parts are high quality plastic and assist under different track conditions. Take the hubs for example, if you crash your car your hub might bend slightly and you won't see this. This will have a huge effect on the handling of the car. With the plastic part, it will either withstand the crash because it is more elastic or it will break. So replacing a plastic part will be cheap and you won't have any tweak in your hubs. The duraluminium parts are also of great quality and serve as an option.

Thanks All

I realize there's nothing wrong with plastic parts such as knuckles etc. Most high end kits come out with plastic c-hubs, knuckles and rear hubs. The phi is the only touring i know of that is standard with rear alloy hubs and c-hubs. I was simply stating that id be expecting the price of the 09 Phi to be lower then the 08 phi due to the less duraluminum parts used. Either way it will be a good car.

The best thing about the plastic componets is the price of them.

It 'll mean you can try 6 deg caster or other items and if they work then buy the alloy parts.

I do like the options.

can't wait to see them in Aust.
