Thats right....$50.00 for two full days of racing, an event t-shirt and a sticker sheet plus door prizes. Seems like a bargan to me compaired to other events out there.

Remember guys...this is a 2 DAYS event. Typical 1 day club racing are $20-25 already. And they don't have USVTA T-shirt, Decal and USVTA BELT to hand out to the winner.........not to mention, trying to fit that belt onto the winner is just FUN...

The last year 16 cars FINAL was fun to watch and sure it was fun to participate. If Harbor did a 16 cars final last year, I don't see why 20 cars is not do-able.

Again...the 20 cars event (plus revserse course) is kinda like a exhibition race. It does break cars (like 2-3 cars were out within the 1st lap then 2 or few more within the next few laps), but who cares, its fun and required lots of skill to get thru traffic and try NOT to break...

The 20 car main is after all the Reedy stlyle format racing. The 20 car main is more like a king of the hill main, it takes the top 10 in the A and B division and lets them race for the belt.

20 cars will work on the track. It was done last year and actually was a pretty clean race and alot of fun to watch.

This will be a great event.

Uh, if you're going to quote me, please do it right and not edit the post to make it look like I was commenting on the size of the "Super-Main". I did not comment regarding the 20-car main.

BUT, we did do a 20-car main there last year and it was fine. Tight at times but fine. The issue comes with scoring or announcing the cars from 11th and lower. I announced the main and it was..interesting to say the least. But I could not see the entire field on-screen. This is something that someone at the track should talk to Doug Hay about before the event.

Yeah I dont think you are understanding what that is. There is no mains....all the racing will be points style racing after 2 or 3 rounds of qualifiers like they use at the Reedy Race. There will be 6 total racing rounds with your 5 best race results counting towards your final standing in the A and B group....Awards for the top 10 in each group. Then these top ten from each group will be able to run in the 20 car super main.

The 20 car super main is seperate this is done after the racing is over. We did this last year at the Nationals at The Track and there was like 18 total cars there that raced. It was awesome to see all the cars that were racing there and the racing was suprizingly close and only 2 cars broke out. So yeah its do-able and not a cluster f**K at all.

Andrew,

Last year's "Super Main" was 50 laps for the top 20 in pointsAfter
all rounds of racing and awards and goodies were handed out.

18 cars started the event of the 20,(2 went home after awards), 1 broke physically and 1 had electrical issues.

Gary did a fantastic job of announcing the main, even though the laptop monitor would only physically display the top 10, ( 13" monitor, there is now a 19").

I wouldn't call the 20 car last year a cluster but it was chaotic.. at least watching from the sidelines it was. Its just a nice feature at the end of the "Nationals" and probably not something you'd want to do locally at a club... at least not our club races anyway. But why can't it be chaotic?... why does the fastest always have to win?... Doesn't getting through traffic and staying out of trouble just as important as being the fastest? I think its an awesome and fitting end to the event!! I don't really see myself making in the 20 car field but I'll be trying!!

Rob, you crack me up!

You bringing your F1 along with your TA and other assorted classes to Madison on the 24th? I might have my WGT car ready by then also just to demo the class. Only the UPS lady at the hobby shop knows.
