Tamiya TB-Evolution II

the aluminum steering doesn't do anything... (well, I have not notice anything) to the steering. It doesn't take any slop out.
I kinda like the plastice steering better... since it's lighter.
To me, TBevo's I or II's slop is really minimal. It doesn't really have that big of impact on the percision of the steering.
However, I would like to see tamiya come out with a new steering system for the car. Maybe they can modifiy the steering system for TRF414M cars to fit into Evo. That would be great...

I agree with TRF, the Alu steering did nothing to remove any slop. I was thinking about trying to fit the steering from a HPI Pro2, the measurements look about the same. If I ever get around to it I'll post the results. Don't hold your breath though!

Slop
try putting torque rods on the steering!!! like the ones on the TAO4-Pro/R and the TRF.
I replaced the upper king pin to a ball cup kingpin and connected it to the upper deck!!!! the slop is still there but lesser.

Hey Guys...I know this is an EVO II thread, but I got a EVO I question that might refer to both cars....
Is it possible to use standard gears on the EVO I chassis??? Is so, what kind of work is required in making the conversion???
I was eyeing up the RRP adaptor for the HPI RS4 chassis and it looks like with a little work it might fit on the EVO I
Any suggestions?????
Thanks

Tbevo 1 or 2 Gear Conversion
Hi!!!
I changed my gear using the gear adapter from Tobee Craft!
There is also an adaptor from Cross Racing available i think at jethobby, controlcentre and rcmodel.co.hk
Its better to used 48pitch with these cars cause its really hard to changespurs once a pebble ruins it!!!

Those arms are more rigid. You know, like the Ta04r hard arm set, because of the carbon materials used in the mold.
New question:
Are the TB Evo II arms the same as the arms included in the TB01 long arm set and stock TB Evo arms?

Thank you Dragon. Now all i need to do is findout if the Ta04 uprights and knuckles fit. I ask because, I have many Ta04 parts around and, I want to use them on my TB.

anyone knew it is easy to get replacements parts for TB Evo2 once they are worn out or broken, example the steering arms etc?? i know it is limited edition, so dun know if replacements is easy to get. thinking of getting either a Evo2 or TRF414M.
another question is the Evo2 never come with alumnium steering arm?? can those use on TB01 use on evo2??
I think the material for long suspension arm is the same as Evo1. not sure if the same as evo2.

Dude, Alum parts do not break, rather they bend, and are heavier...
