Ed the car looks fantastic! How are you liking the 417 so far?

You need to take the bullets off of the Tekin... that is how the speedo cools.

that is direct from Tekin....

Default Tekin

Thanks for your thoughts Dlewis4. The posts on the speedie are still there. They run up the inside of the femail bullets, and are soldered internally. All they are doing(apart from looking neat and making it easy to change motors) is to create more surface area for the heat to disapate. They are basically a heat sink. It seems to run cool, and works well.
I am interested in your thoughts.
Anthony.

It's not that great. Not as neat as some of the cars on here... but do what I can with what I have

As for the 417, only run it once so far (was ment to run again this weekend, but self-inflicted illness put paid to that). Built the car as kit, and felt very good on track... like a Tamiya! I'm learning to drive mod at the moment, so trying to not change too much, too soon. If I get the chance to go run next weekend I'll start playing a bit more with setup tuning and see what does what.

Cheers
Ed

Default 417

few pics of my 417, almost completed, just waiting for my bullet connectors to arrive to solder onto my speedo batt wires.

not perfect, and first time I have not used a Low profile servo, but there is plenty of room for the almost full size savox. ds3000 reciever, Hobbywing Xerun V2.1 120 esc and Speed Passion V3.0 motor and MRT PTX transponder.

car weighes 1359 grams out of the box, factory screws with the full weight PF body.

cheers

that looks great, very nice job. I like that you didn't change the colored wires to all black.

Only think you need to do is get rid of the fiber tape and grab some of the good stuff.

That looks great Robert. I'm not used to seeing the speedo on the right on the 1/12th but the layout looks better that way!

I had mentioned in an earlier post that these will be available soon...they will be on the site this week and at dealers ASAP.

Sorry about the poor picture.

Ralph you should just sell it by the roll for some of the guys on here. I'm not brave enought to try that one.
