I purchased replacement pins so I could shorten my servo wires to the receiver. The replacements pin require the use of a crimp tool. The pins are the metal pieces that go into the plastic tab the plugs into the receiver.
Does anyone know what type of crimp tool you would use for the servo wires and where to buy it?
Here is an example of what I'm talking about (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTSH2&P=ML)
Here is an article describing what I want to do (http://rcbuilder.com/lh_guide/shorte...ervo_wires.htm)

Thats a good idea . I've done that to a few cars but you have to be very careful to either get a crimp tool and be absolutely sure you've gotten it fastened securely. soldering to the wires is best but only if you can do it with next to no solder. Otherwise the plugs wont fit into the connectors. Not as easy as it looks , even with a crimp tool.

Just post PICS and ONLY if you did it.
Don't muddy the thread with discussions. Got a question for a dude about his install? Drop him a PM.
I find that a KILLER radio install is always a thing of beauty, and there are a few folks on here that really inspire me. So let's show 'em off.
Why let the paint job guys get all the glory?

Coil around a hex driver and when as desired.
My next step may not be for everyone, but after I get in a coil on my hex driver, I hold a lighter/flame under the wires for a second, like you would with heat shrink, just long enough to heat it, not melt it. Immediately after that, I use a compressed air can upside down as freeze spray to quickly cool the wire and insulation, then remove the driver from the coil.
