Hello,
I was just wondering, what is the best way to shorten the wires from the ESC and the servo ?
I'm trying to make a clean wiring job but my wires are simply too long.
Any help is greatly apreciated :-)

Buy this and this so you can shorten those servo lines up.

Cheers abailey21, I live in the UK, so I wont be ordering from the website you linked but at least I get the idea, simply cut the wires and put a new "receiver" connector.
One last thing, If I want to black out some wires, is it best to get black wires or color them in black with a sharpie or whatever ? (permanent marker)
Thanks !

TQ Wire sells black wire, or you can use a paint pen, sharpie or dye them black yourself.

I've been shortening wires and soldering for years and i'm still not 100% comfortable soldering on the chip boards of esc's and servos though, so keep that in mind

Ok great, I had that in mind but for the same reason, the chips are so small I wouldn't want to mess up those things.
Thank you very much and should be posting a picture asap

I just got one of those iX8 ESC's. All I need now is a DEX408 to put it in. I It should be easy to make it look like jewelry.

Take a small bit of black shrink tubing to each end of your braid covering the motor wires. I will keep it from fraying further and clean up the look.

Did you take a lighter to that foam bumper to round it off?
