futureal: Thanks for the race coverage. I hate searching around from site to site to get race results.

Dragon Slayer: Mainly Sorex 28s, although some used Yokomo 139Gs and Pit Shimizu 27s/24s.

TRF & rccarracer: I have some more pics of Jun's 414M that I will get online later tonight.

all: The final results are now online, as well as more comprehensive info from qualifying. Check it out.

TRF-Powered,
I can get the answer for you probably next week. It depends on if I see dave or not next weekend.

Fangio,

You won't happen to go to Tamiya USA during Saturdays for practice do you???

I am thinking of going there for practice to get ready for TCS.

dave jun is also using a finned heat sink motor plate, and unlike most 414M factory drivers, he doesn't use a rear swaybar up front mounted on the upper deck. also, the front shocks are mounted differently, with what appears like a lunsford quick-mount system. he uses short plastic servo stays, keeps the belt tensioner on the lower deck(unlike most TRF guys), does away with the torque limiters and uses a different servo horn(similar to the yokes).

Tamiya doesn't make any finned heat sink for 414M. Did he got some connection in Japan or what??? As far as I know, only one aftermaket company makes a finned heat sink for 414M, and it's in Japan.

the tire of choice for most would have been the yok 139 gs...but only barry and chris had them.....most used sorex 28...a few with sorex 24 and even some with pit 24-27.....yok med inserts or pit med were the choice in mod....and hpi red in stock(trhe mod guys used the yok or pit inserts) while the losi guys used 26 mm rims...

i think the most heated battle in at the race was paul and barry on the golden tee....

I wish Scotty could have gotten some Pits in for the race, not his fault as he tried hard to hunt some up. If you didnt bring your own tire of choice you pretty much had to run Sorex. Oh well another lesson to remember for next year

I am doing the pictures from today right now. If you're interested in them, they should be online in about 20-30 minutes.

Sweet, I really want a good look at Jun's 414M.
Do you have any more shots of the Yok Special that Tosolini used?
