radio operating distance
is there a general guide to how far awy from you your car will still operate.??
Especially a 75 vs 2.4 reveiver. On my futaba 2PL, I seem to only get a couple hundred feet max before it gets jittery.

Not sure of the exact distance but a 2.4 will definatly have better range compared to a FM radio

If you only get 20ft of range by raising your antenna on your transmitter then you a range problem?

For almost 15 years I ran Futaba PCM/75mHz FM based radios...and loved the range.
I raced at the old RCThunderdrome events, and they were held on a 1120+ ft. Bicycle VELODROME in downtown Los Angeles and NEVER, NEVER had any inferference.
I switched to the original SPEKTRUM system a couple years ago, and still run on large velodrome tracks and don't have any interference issues...and the range is at least every bit as good. (And it's so nice NOT having to use Frequency Clips on Race day)
