kyosho Stallion (Belt Driven)

Hello,

Had a quick question about the belt driven Kyosho stallion. I just finished putting it together. When I pull on the throttle, all four wheels spin, but when I go back to neutral the back wheels stop, but the front wheels just keep spinning for a while. Is that suppose to happen, or is something too loose up front?

Thanks, Duc

It's meant to happen - it's a one way diff in the front ;)

its a front one way. the front wheels are spinning on bearings.

You should run the spool rather than the one way in the front at first. It's much easier to drive.

Yes it's normal. A front one-way allows the front wheels to free-wheel while slowing down. This keeps good traction on the front buy means you can't really use the brakes. It takes some getting used to, but they are very fast around the track. Of course without brakes, you may find it hard to go one-on-one with someone. It's very difficult drive defensively without brakes...

A spool is another option and Rdvtg-hobbies on ebay sells them at the best price. Be aware they do complicate things a little and require a slightly different setup for the rest of the suspension...

Thanks for all the replies. As usual this forum has been very helpful.
