I assume you want to know the case size to see if it will fit the EFRA rules. The 5200 will not fit the EFRA rules but we will be making a pack that will be EFRA legal. We expect capacity to be around 4200 with 40C+.

Hey danny any chance we will see an 8000mah pack in a 20c or more rating. We offroad monster guys are looking but no name brand manfacuers have made them yet. I know spc does but we were looking for a higher quality pack. Allot of us run 2 2s side by side. Just figured i would ask lol

FYI, the cyclone has just about 24mm clearance for a LiPo. You can make another mm or so by filing down the right rear upper deck mount. You can make most 5000's fit, but you can't run a weight plate under it.

Like Pete said...you can fit the 5000 into your cyclone but the center bulkhead needs to be filed down...I was also able to use a home made weight plate which is a steinless steel plate of 0.5mm thick. Just make sure that if you file the bulkhead...the screw is not sticking out under the bulkhead or you will damage your battery...

What dimensions do the packs need to be and do they have to be in a hardcase ?

i would say the packs should be at most the size of a TrueRC 8000mah 15C lipo. these still fit in the E-revo, albeit VERY tightly. I know the smaller Maxamps 20C and trueRC 10C 8000s fit even better.

If someone has the dimensions that a pack needs to have to fit the E-Revo that would be great. We can use 2S1P that will make the pack thinner but longer or make it 2S2P which will make it the same length as our current 4000 but the height will be around 37mm

The E-Revo batt bay is 160mm-51mm-30mm.
Please consider also 3cell 11.1V because the E-Revo comes with the CC Mamba Monster Max Brushless and 2200KV Neu clone.

regards,

alex.

Thanks for the info. We will study this and see what we can offer as far as capacity and C rate.

We will be releasing a 3400/11.1V/20C hardcase pack.

That is the first I have heard about 5000 limit by tracks. Tracks should follow ROAR rules as the packs have been tested for safety.
