radio problem? unknown interference?
Hi I recently encountered an issue which is when I use throttle only the motor runs smoothly, but when I turn the wheels with throttle the motor starts to be interfered, but when not using steering the noise is gone. I thought it may be servo problem, but after changed to other servo, the interference still there. I am running reedy 19T motor, Futaba mc800c ESC and futaba 2PL radio. Can anyone tell me how to eliminate this noise?

You don't mention the servos you have been using - are they by any chance metal-geared and low-cost? Are you using a steering setup with a lot of metal parts?
Could well be that these are the problems. Also make sure that the motor has capacitors fitted. |

You may also want to try a different radio system because this may also be the problem.

My motor has capacitors go with it, but the servos are cheap, one is futaba 3003 another is cirrus, cirrus servo has metal gears but both interfere the motor. I felt that 3003 has less effect than cirrus. So is there any way to cure this problem?
Futaba 3003 should be a reliable servo. Assuming all your radio gear is in good condition (no broken antennas, good battery power, crystals cared for, tidy wiring) it is really hard to diagnose radio problems unless you do a swap-by-swap test until you get a known good setup. |
