Can you post your set-up for the T1M.

My T1M arrives next week and I don't know where to start on motor & gearing for 4 cell.

What were you using ?

Thanks

BTB,
I am using the box stock set up.We run 19 turn 4 cell in our class.track is large with some tech and long straights.Out door parking lot.Low traction.

Set up is like out of box.gearing is2.60 with a Kisby D5 19 turn.The
car pushed bad in the hair pins(on power).I think it could have been a better handleing car if I would have bought an optional spring set. I should have gotten one when I had the money.Btw I used cs22 premount take offs.

Not that I want to help anybody but I hate posting set ups,cuz now the guyz in my area will know what I did to beat them. But oh well it will be nice to have a little bit more of a challenge this week.

I don't have mine yet. When the class starts to pick up, I'll probably order mine.

I want one, just need to find a good deal on one, maybe a used one. Will my Xray springs that I have for my evo2 work with the T1M?

Yes,All xray springs will fit.I noticed on mine that with warpped wheels that the wheel will scrub against the spring perch and shock end(eyelette)at bottom. And i agree about waiting on a used one. These things are not cheap!

I have a 12th scale pan car, (trinity switchblade 12 SE) but since no one runs stock 12th it just sits in my car cabinet. I think maybe I'll sell it, buy a T1M and at least get some use out of my 4 cell packs!

Now that sounds like a good idea.I might do the same with some old stuff lying around.I might get another one to run in stock 4 cell.

Thanks for set-up. You could have PM'd it to keep it from the locals.

The date for arrival of the T1M in the UK keeps going backwards.

Importer now says they MIGHT be in the UK this week.

Can't wait to get it built and run.

6 of us have ordered the cars so the local indoor tarmac track will put us in our own heat.

We have all got Peak 19T spec motors and we will all now go for the CS22GL pre-glued tyres to keep the field level.

Will let you know how the class takes off.

I'm gonna have to buy one of these before the class dies off in the U.S.

I think this type of car kicks ass, but i don't think it will catch on in the U.S.

When you say your gearing is 2.60 are you talking rollout or ratio ?

2.60" = 66mm rollout. ( about a 50T pinion )

93 spur divide by 2.6 ratio = 35T pinion

If you are talking rollout then I need to go shopping for pinions before the car turns up.

One of the guys is running a 12T motor in a Yokomo 12th TC on 4 cell and has it geared on 35mm/rev ( 1.37" )

Help !

Bob,
I was refering to ratio. Not roll out.I'm not qualified enough to figure out roll out.

I want to let a few of you guys know that I was pretty fast out on track the past two week ends but I kinda thought it was lacking a little something. Then it dawned on me that I never changed throttle profile on speedo .After carfull though I all so figured out what gave me so much tration in front.I had tooo much camber in front.I set car up like I would 1/10th scale.IE.2 degrees negative camber. My thinking is that on such a smaller wheel base and track that 2 degrees is like4 degrees on 1/10th.So I will be changing camber to aprox .5-1.0 degrees negative camber.

I hope that made cents.

No worrys BoBthebuilder I found out that the guys that run mini with me don't have a clue how to navigate to this thread.Hopefully no will tell them how to get here.
