The only compatibility issue I have discovered is that the Mars R does not like Hitec servos which is why I'm using a Futaba. The Futaba 3102 might be slower than the Hitec but it centers better and seems to be of overall better quality.

Is there a certain Novak model or is there just one for the KO ? My Mars manual had a little note about how the 'R' wasnt compatible with a particular KO receiver. I had the same problem with Hitec 85MG...wouldnt always move quickly when going from lock to lock.

I beleive the Novak XXL is sold in different versions for the different radio manufacturers. So, yes I do belive there is a specific model for KO. Check out www.teamnovak.com for details.

Yes there is a specific model for KO. I have one XXL that is KO and the other one that I use is Futaba. I use both receivers with my Mars Limited.

Has anyone here tried the Saw'd Off chassis from DPowell?

It's the 140mm conversion chassis and carbon shaft.

Xtant3150c,
Thanks for posting the picture. I'm not at liberty to give out customer names but I have had no negative feedback on either the 150mm or our exclusive 140mm chassis for the Xray M18. Why don't you try one for yourself?

No problem D.P.

I would like to but I only race a stock set up and don't think I could bring myself to spend the money

It's a nice looking chassis though! Maybe oneday I'll find a used one?

That 140mm chassis should be perfect for a M18 with stock motor or similar size. Should work excellent on carpet.

Hello DP,

I'm REALLY interested in the carbon shaft. I'm running M18 150mm and do you trade to the FAR East-Malaysia ?

Don't see this kind of upgrade in this part of the world. Most of us here would have to make net order for upgrade parts.

Please PM me for details like postage & payment . Thnx

I just picked up a brand new in the box M18 off of Ebay for $68.

I was suprised to see it that cheap but I was higher than his reserve (probably $65) and no one even saw the 'buy it now' for $69.

With only $7 shipping I think I got a bargain.

Check it out as I'm sure more will appear on what is probably the 'off season' for most micro tracks with summer outdoor racing getting into full swing.

Default Power Pack and Ko Propo

There is a disclaimer somewhere that says the power pack servo will not work with the KO Propo 301 Receiver (Mars R). This servo is basically a Hitec servo that has been relabeled.

I had the same problem and had to replace it with a Futaba 3102 servo which works much better anyway, although it is a big slower.
