Here's my new M18. M18 gallery
Custom Carbon Fiber top brace mounted on RPM ball cups to be removable. Custom adjustable toe steering link mounted on top of the steering rack instead of the bottom. All aluminum axles. 42-tooth spur. Metal pinion set. Front one-way diff. Hitec 225 mighty-mini servo. 300 conversion chassis. Trinity VIS matched 6-cell pack. Orion Baja 300 motor. Waiting for my SPY ESC. This is my legal race setup. I also have a Mamba performace brushless/li-po system that I will run in our club races. Future upgrades: Foams, front and rear ball diffs, 2 degree toe in the rear, maybe a stronger motor. It's pretty fast already though.:

Mister Drifter nice set up you got there! Did you have to cut the mounting tab off the 225 servo for it to fit?

Intel that xgt looks sweet!

Intelligentsia

That looks like Novak's new XRS speed control in one of the cars. If it is how do you like it?

I didn't think it was that small but it definitely looks like it fits nicely in your chassis layout.

Thanks

Hey,

That is the Novak XRS in one of the cars. I used it for one race and now it is for sale.

The dimensions are almost exact to that of the XXL.

The esc works fine but I do not like the reverse at all. The pwm frequency is very low. I have since gone back to the Quantum esc as you can see in the last couple pics. Any of the Quantum esc's will be a much better esc than the XRS in my opinion.

Would you say the brakes are as bad as the Spy's brakes? Or are they better?

The specs are the same as the Spy as far as drive frequency.

For some odd reason this esc actually has good brakes .

For the price it is a good esc. I just don't really care for reversing esc's.

Xtant-

Actually, I didn't cut the tabs. I mounted to the attenna side as normal, and the other mounting block I mounted to the servo and then thin CA'ed it to the chassis. My car has taken the usual accidental tumbles and it hasn't let go yet.

Thanks for the info Mister Drifter!

I am currently using a 81-mg in my m18 with no issues. But I have a 225 sitting in my micro rs4 that I wanted to use.
