Shor Goo alternative?

Can somebody recommend an alternative for shoe goo for repairing bodies? something i can find at home depot for example.

Liquid nails makes a household adhesive that would probably do a great job for body repair... here's a link

I don't know if Home Depot has Liquid Nails in the small tubes though... I HAVE seen the big caulking gun sizes there... Maybe an Ace Hardware or True Value if Home Depot doesn't have it?

Permatex clear silicone (auto section) is very similar to shoe goo, I find shoe goo a little stronger, and permatex a little more flexible. I think it's Dubro, or one of the hobby companies resells shoo goo now, so your LHS can order it from tower.

Virtually all auto parts stores sell "Automotive GOOP" which is basically the same thing. Or you can visit a shoe store and buy actual shoe goo. Duratrax/Hobbico sells Shoe Goo with their tag on it as well.

Amazing Goop (any of the 8 types) and mesh drywall tape. Lay the tape in and goop over it. The tape is a real strong fiber and when combined with goop which dries slightly flexible, it lasts a few more poundings.

Amazing Goop is the same as Shoe goo - they have it at THD - in a navy blue tube.

Yes, it is the exact same stuff. I forgot to mention that. I think its half as expensive though, which for the price at least makes it an alternative to the brand name.

I use the tape with the cross stitching in it.

Gaffa tape and Silicone (used half a tube I had left over from the bathroom)

Worked well!
