+1

I already jumped to other ship to be competitive.. But i still have a belief in KO.

i am imagining.. it is not a VFS anymore.. but a Variable Timing System for every rpm range (not the throttle position)
we can adjust the timing advance curve, the slope.. and turbo of course.
that would be a very nice feature.

I wonder if anything in the new software will benefit for mod motors, I had been running an 8.5 with the timing at 3 even 4 at sometimes with everything working perfectly. It has been really fast on the oval that I run its cool to see the timing kick in past the others..lol I am now running a 7.5 and even better with the same profile. i had kept the timing to 3 I beleive and nothing but good results. I was easily half a lap down before the main on the start but was able to catch up fairly quickly. In my eys it can only get better form her, everyone says to get rid of it.....of course they are running that red and black thing i think it is as fast for mod IMO.

got the spank this wknd from the Tekins. even with melvin's program dialed in. I didnt quite believe it until I saw it... Advantage tekin was on long 160ft straight. They could pull there. INfield, I actually think KO was keeping up fine if not pulling. Thats the area where I could make up ground.

Entire club A went Tekin, ko and LRP made up the B...

What seemed to help some was advancing motor timing to +2.

No mamba's? I personally like the way the mamba puts down the power better than the Tekin. But nothing is as smooth as the BMC at least none that I have tried.

Great news. We enjoyed a short 1 month window where we had the fastest ESC/motor combination including the KO BMC. Then the Tekin v.203 hit and blew everything away.

We had to buy a Tekin to remain competitive and hate every minute of it. The software interface is kludgy and the hardware is temperamental when saving profiles.

Whatever you come up with, make sure it is better and faster than the Tekin especially for 17.5-10.5 motor ranges. Also the ability to turn off the timing/boost stuff for MOD motors. It should have the ability to melt down a motor in 10 seconds and then back it off a little. Great brakes is also very important. If you can simulate the brake algorithm of the LRP Sphere/SPX then this will be a killer ESC.

Unfortunate I think that's everyone dilemma. The Tekin isn't as smooth but the power of the Tekin is just so much better hat it can't be ignored.

rcko and I had the same issue Sunday and I will be moving to Tekin . We will see how KO addresses the difference in performance.

KO is every bit as good as the Tekin cheater speed control, but then again I do run modified... Tekins, LRP's, Speed Pashions they all eat my dust...

Tekin = only good for stock

KO and LRP = Tekin spanker for mod!!!
