Play the demo. It is worth it. I just hate gas cars. Once VRC Pro comes out with electric TC, it will be worth it.

my experience of it has been positive...

it may only currently have nitro cars with electric on its way for version 4 (VRC Pro) but its a good tool to use to practice with.
fine throttle/steering control and understanding setup changes are a couple of the more noteable benefits

...its also fun and IMHO is every bit as exciting/fun when you're racing well

Electric cars will be in VRC Pro, which will be released soon. There is some info and screenshots on redrc > http://www.redrc.net/category/brand/vrc/

And yes, VRC is worth it. It's a great training tool.
