Ceramic Bearings for Brushless Motors.
Who put in ceramic bearings in brushless motors? If no one does, is there a tutorial on how to replace them? Where can I buy some for Team Orion Vortex motors. The one I have is a 1st gen without a fan.

If you find out what size bearing you need you can probably get them from avid or boca. Other than that I'm not too sure about how to actually replace them but I'm pretty sure you can.

LRP, SpeedPassion and I'm sure Orion have for sale ceramic bearings for their motors.

You need a bearing tool like the Much-More one.

I've replaced the bearings in LRP's 3.5 and 13.5 motors.
The 3.5 motor I ran for at least 6mths before changing the bearings to ceramics and one of them literally fell out of the can when i went to change it and the other took a VERY light tap to make it come out. The 13.5 on the other hand wasnt as easy and if I had a bearing puller at the time I would have used one. -Mark |
