Default The Gate-Ready for fall

Hey racers,

This track fills me with pride!! It takes way to much of my time and keeps my back sore-but in the end its worth it. Heres our layout for the start of the Fall POints Season. BTW-this track is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

We opened up our track design a bit and went with a faster course than last with more straightaways. I think the Novices to the Proffesional modified drivers will all find it fun.

We start racing this SUnday, the 21st of September.

Fall Schedule

Enjoy the pics,
Ray

The most important elemnt to track design is flow I think. This track flows very well, but still makes you wheel to get the best lap times.

And one last picture. This is the track hosting the first leg of the USTC on OCtober 24-26th called the Halloween Classic. Entries for that race include Mike Dumas, Chuck Lonegran, JOsh Cyrul, Barry Baker......

Default dark pics....

It is actually very bright in there. It was late when I took these pics and I didnt have the patience to find the setting on my camera that produced the brightest pics. SOrry!!!

Just for fun-this is a pic of the track in October 2002 when we first opened. The track was about 1056 sq. ft. smaller, ratty old boards and Square corners!!! Perimeter boards were all hinged and could catch body work, etc. My what a difference a year makes

Thumbs up

Respect bro, your new track looks cool. Our club still makes do with 'square corners' but we do have a decent amount of space indoors over the winter, so at least our cars can unwind a little. I wished I lived in the states - you guys are cool and love ya' racing! Us Brits do try hard though

Devin-maybe come pre-champs?

Horatio-the Brits have got the most awesome asphalt roadcourses. And the Indoor gas tracks are also unreal.

Dan,

That was the biggest problem-we didnt have an offseason. We had 40 to 60 entries all summer long!!! We did all this stuff on weeknights!!!

Ray

Default Halloween Classic

Anyone know if they are still taking racers for the Halloween Classic Oct. 24th-26th.
