Hong Kong Charity Race from Scotty
Hi guys, Just wanted to give everyone a chance to see this awesome event going on. I am here in Hong Kong announcing what is going to be a pretty cool event. We are holding a Charity event here on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong in a huge mall where this weekend we are expecting thousands of spectators to watch the event. Josh Cyrul, David Jun, Neils Koenekoop are here to participate.
This event is organized by a non profit club to raise funds for the Yan Chai Hospital.
On Sunday, they have the largest watched TV Channel in HK coming to film and show the event to Millions of viewers, remember HK has 8 million residents. Between the A finals, there will be well know singers and actors performing on the stage/drivers stand for the huge crowed that will gather. This is the same mall where they held the Reedy Race Asian years ago.
I just wanted to give you a few pictures of what the area looks like. We are going to try and get something on Liverc tomorrow, but all we will have is a wireless signal, so it is only a long shot.
I will give you updates as we go along.
Thanks
Scotty

Good Morning from Hong Kong,
Well we are at the track and the club did a great job staying up very late preparing the track. The race again is for Charity so it is a bit more relaxed than most of our events we are used to.
Today we will have a very limited practice time for each driver maybe 1 pack. Then 4 rounds of qualifying mixed with some breaks for charity events.
There are 3 classes, Modified, 13.5 with Lipo and Mini. They have reserved this event to 60 entrants, they have 43 in Modified. 13 in 13.5 and the Mini class is an demonstration class with 7 racers, they could have many more in each class, but they only have so much pit room and so much time in the mall.
Still going to try and get something going with LiveRC, but it does not look good.
I will take some more pics of the track and post them for you guys.
Later,
Scotty
