Does anyone make a front bumper brace to prevent the chassis from breaking??

Has anyone cracked a chassis at the front bumper in a crash???

I've hit stuff hard enough to dislodge the driveshaft, and witnessed several A700s hit even harder without any chassis damage. I doubt a reinforcement brace would be necessary, but consider the BSR hard bumper a "must have" item.

I am sure it COULD happen but I would think that would take a MAJOR crash at some crazy speed.

I have been running the car since it first shipped in 2011 ?! Wow, time flies ! ....and have never seen nor heard of a cracked chassis. The chassis is 3mm thick and very good quality Carbon Fiber. It is a bit thinner than 3mm at the nose where the bumper attaches but it hasn't been any issue as far as I know.

I slammed into someones foot at full speed on the straight .... No chassis damage. Only damage was one rim, mangled body and a slightly stripped bulkhead hole. The bulkhead hole was partly my fault, upper link only had 4 thread engagement.

Ran the aluminum chassis on my Evo last night in awful grip on terrible old tires and it was good! I was concerned it would be too rigid for low grip, but no problems there.

Which stiffener did you use, AM-30 (short), AM-30-1 (short revised), or AM-33 (long).
Also did you use all screws of the stiffener fully locked?

AM-30-1 with all screws. I'll have to experiment with running fewer screws in different places to see how it changes things.

Indeed it is a great set up tool to experiment with the way you secure the stiffener.
I use the long one with the two rearmost screws not fully locked.
I noticed instantly more rear grip and smoother behavior on ultra low grip.

Just wanted to give everyone an avenue to go to for the outdrive pins that Oleg suggests as a prevention to damage of the front-end. A 2.7mm swaybar. Of course you'll need to cut it to length, but I also put a slight bevel on it to ease insertion.

Great day of racing yesterday. Ran at a local Trophy race and was able to TQ but due to a migrane i had to leave before the main. The car was awesome. I ran my FFG with a top deck and the car could do no wrong. I also had Hot lap of the day. I have to give big props to Mike Larcher Yesterday was his first day on a used ride 700L and was able to finish 4 in the show after a bump up from the B.
