That was the main problem I have to face when I race my A700... This car was so "well-centered" that it was very hard to make it roll...

I can see that the new parts will allow the car to be easier on low-grips tracks...

I'm just disappointed that I bought the first version...

Patience is a virtue...
Art - Gabriele Vignolini Italy Nats setup works well. The car has a nice attitude even in OG trim.

Cheers mate a better answer than I could have given..I'd also like to point out that many drivers use a more rearward position and are winning races, its just a personal finding

Thanks Oleg!

I prepped 2 cars for this event. The L and EX A700s.

Early on I felt that my L car was going to be the prime option based on a track configuration and feel. Unlike most tracks I have ran on – partly due to the cold conditions and escalating traction – I started to find that I needed the EX configuration to better manage the traction.

I have only been at one other track that had traction as high as TQ Raceway which was at the site location of the Canadian Nationals. Both locations share some of the similar traits. Extremely high traction with technical and high-speed sections.

The spec tire for ROAR Region 12 Championships was the Sweep QTS-32. Most of the competitors had to find a way to deal with managing the traction but yet develop a setup that could keep the car free but controllable.

I think we found a good setup to manage high-extreme traction scenarios. While most tracks will develop a ‘tacky bite’ and transition to ‘greasy’; this setup should be really effective for tracks that maintain high ‘tacky bite’.

Let me know if you have any questions.

The setup was derived from Team input over the course of 15 runs at this event. I have forwarded the setup to Oleg to share.

Default Testing..

Congrats Mark!

Short update in my blog.
Did some proper testing on Saturday and ended up with a pretty nice car.
On Sunday there was a club race where I TQed had the best 5min run and lap record (faster than 1/10 ic cars)

I've also posted a short video. I start to push after the 3rd lap until later on I step on a paddle of water and spin off bigtime!
In the video I run old tyres and laptimes are around 20.3 - 20.5. Next day I did 19.7 on new tyres.

Well four years ago a speed gun had measured the open mod class (brushed + NiMh) at 92km/hr. Considering we are a lot faster now, I think that we peak at around 110km/hr under perfect conditions, maybe even more.
