I really love the idea of this car but as a novice rc car designer, one thing I definitely know is the money is made in the accessories. The car does look exceptionally fast stock, but are there any plans in the pipeline for an inexpensive starter car later down the line? Also, this may sound odd, but what bodies do you typically run? It's a great looking chassis and deserves to have a beautiful body put on top.

I believe they should make a RTR version with maybe a flux 5700kv type brushless system for under $330 , but I think that it will be hard to find cheap materials strong enough to support the thin design , not to mention frequent crashes. If they can make it work it will be a revolution for bashers and club racers $$$$$$$$ By the way OLEG , WILL THE MAIN SHAFT BE MADE OF HOLLOW TITANIUM ??????????????

I am a follower of this thread and have high hopes for this car.
I also understand that the car is designed for high level of racing.
But is there any chance that you'll be coming up with a street version
of that car? A touring kit that can withstand the rigors of street
racing. It's ok if it will be made in composite plastics as long as
it has upper deck and enclosed drivetrain.

The street version assumes considerably bigger expenses for us (moulds for plastic). But we investigate it now.

You have to remember that it might be expensive to start with having molds but when you reuse them over and over again it becomes cheaper. Plus probably the most important thing to remember is that us racers support the cars that we like to drive. but we are only few in comparison to the whole market! i would say that over 50% of buyers are impulse buyers and if they see something cheap and quick they will buy it. But us racers understand about the high end and want to have high end cars that really perform. And if you want a company to survive you also have to compensate for the average club racer which just wants the cheap version of everything that handles or i should say is planted and parts are readily available for them to get whenever they like!! but this is my 2 cents worth. feel free to agree or disagree and remember i'm not having a dig at you as i like the car!!

There is special main shaft spring defence unit on our car.
The shaft has possibility of moving into a forward gearbox without bending and damage.
It saves a shaft in most cases.
Certainly at very severe accidents when the frame collapses, titanium or carbon shaft do not maintain too .

Seems like a very nice feature you have in the car. You have certainly done your homework on this awesome machine. I'll be just watching the thread from now on.

Oleg I do agree that a A7075 shaft is very good, but it will all depend on the length of your shaft : TC3 AND TC4 use a 175mm A6061 main shaft that bends a lot when I put a NOVAK 3.5R ON IT (let alone the HV4.5R THAT HAVE ONE OF MY TC4's running); the NTC3 USE a A6061 162mm main shaft that somewhat bends if you put a .12 Picco tuned in there. If the A7075 shaft you use is less than 140mm and hollow(very important) than it will be good for whatever motor you put in ,including a 2.5R at 7.4V(40C). Precisely how long is the shaft? If so, is it hollow?

What damages of a shaft are you worried about - twisting under peak loads from the motor and other transmission components? Or a transversal bending from impacts during collisions?
Or is it due resonant oscillations of a shaft at high RPM?
We have taken measures for prevention of this too.
As it is known A7075 T6 alloy Tensile Strength is almost twice more than 6061 T6 one.
Our shaft is 193mm and not hollow now.
It is the truth that we have not broken any shaft still.
Main shaft protection unit:
