Put him on ignore - his entire argument is about lightness. Even though he didn't explicitly say to buy the parts, he's all about modifying parts to make them lighter and then saying he'll be faster even though he doesn't put his car on the tarmac to show it.

Hey Bert- please go harass another car thread. Pick one that isn't winning races. Those need more of your help...

Disappointed to see that rcmaker in Australia (who now do Awesomatix) are only going to support the A800 not the A700 as it's "more popular" To me the A700 still has a place, and despite people on here saying it's still supported, it would appear thats not the case.

dont get it twisted
A800 sell 100:1 as compared to A700 in 2016
those are the facts

It still is supported by the factory, Ryan isn't going to carry parts for it because the a700 isn't that popular in Australia, can you blame him?

I am doing a tear-down on an Evo2 I purchased a while ago. Thankfully the aluminum chassis is perfectly straight. I was originally going to run it with carbon chassis but might try the aluminum.

I am using this car on low/medium traction asphalt. I'm a little worried, never ran any aluminum chassis other than carpet F1. This chassis also has a lot more cut-outs than the A800a. Does the aluminum chassis tweak or bend easy?

Does the AM19-4 fit the A700 or only the A800?

Hi, officially it's not compatible with the A700.
To make it fit you need to shave the outer lip of the differential bearing holder (DT02) and file a little bit of the top deck.
If you are not willing to do some dremelling on your car you can try some of the original AM19. The link length is very similar and the effect is almost the same but you don't have the increase in rigidity.

I figured it was healthier to not argue with Hanulec
One thing I was not clear is that I have fitted the AM19-4 with a "L" car...don't know how much need to be removed from the AM40 gear box support of a FFG car.
Found the time for a picture today.

I purchased a Used A700L from a buddy.. its has almost no time on it, but it has been sitting for a year or two.. there is a lot of oil around the shocks.

To me, the shocks dont feel like there is much dampening. Is there something I need to do to them? if the car is a couple years old.. do the dampers need to be rebuild? or replaced?

I dont really want to upgrade to the d2.1. I was trying to get into an awesomatix cheap. if i upgrade, the shocks will cost me nearly as much as i paid for the whole car.

You cannot rebuild the D6 dampers, and they have not been made since the D2 line of rebuildable shocks have come out. You can always drop in d2.2s, but since you don't want to do that, your only option is to try to ride it out and make it work. You can try to run bigger A gaps to compensate for the lack of damping, but there is only so much you can do if they are blown out
