Spur adapter is the 12mm nut one I haven't figured how to pull the shaft out yet I read somewhere you just pull it from the front but then wouldn't it fall out during a run? When I tried it didn't move

There is a wire clip inside the drive shaft cup, this keeps the shaft from falling out. You need to pull the drive shaft toward the spear gear. This disengages the front end. You then need to turn the wheels left so you can move drive shaft front end right then up and out.

Hey Nexxus, I order direct from shop.awesomatix.com, I think they tend be quicker, as it comes from Asia (Tawain??) somewhere. Plus postage is a little cheaper.

Which are the clips you need? The ones on top of the arms? P07? I've got a couple I could send you if you want? I'm in Brisbane?

Ok thanks for that yeah it's the P07 part, so any help is appreciated.

Also noticed that when mounted up to my motor (R1 Wurks) the drivetrain sounds noisy, not sure if the spur is a bit sus, so will order a new one, from what I have read it's easier to change out a spur with the spur damper as you're not fiddling with a 12mm nut trying to get it tight so it doesn't loosen off mid race? I've also noticed that the bottom motor mount screw seems to come into the motor at a bit of an angle (already stripped a thread in my new motor.... boo!)

Are there any parts prone to breakage I should keep handy? (Racing 21.5 Blinky)

I'm running an R1 wurks motor with no issues. Make sure you're using a ball end driver for that bottom motor screw.

Default Option part questions

Anyone have any comments regarding the SD2 spur axle? This seems like something only a mod motor would actually take advantage of, but that's just speculation. I only run 17.5 and 13.5, and have no on-throttle rear traction issues, just curious what others have to say.

Also, I hope I'm not missing something obvious here, but does anyone know what the difference is between the OR05 and OR05M "medium" o-rings for the GD2?

SD2 -- its for modified racing. supposed to be used w/ the AT04-2

OR05M -- is the newer oring part -- supposed to have a better seal

I just purchased another 700L second hand. Now I've really got to get to know all these parts.
One question though is there any performance difference between all the Awesomatix chassis s. I was told that you can't really go wrong with any of them.

performance is relative to the motor class.

for 17.5/13.5 touring -- all of the (modern - 2nd+ L-cars, EX-cars) chassis configs are similar. the FFG/Evo cars are a bit smoother under acceleration. cars equipped with alloy chassis perform better in high grip scenarios. the D2/D2.1 shocks and the oil/piston tuning that they provide can really help on bumpy tracks, or in high temperature conditions.

for modified touring -- you want the latest/greatest product because that is what these cars are chasing. you'll want an FFG car. you'll want the new shocks to add more dampening to at least the rear of the car.

a700l or a700exl should be great in those classes. the a700l only won two huge races in 2014--
2014 ROAR Carpet Nationals 17.5T
2014 IIC 17.5T

no pressure

Thanks for the info Mike. Any idea when you may get more AT12s back in stock?

Also, what was updated with the FFG1.2? And are there any plans on offering the updated parts to update the FFG1.1 to the 1.2?
