Has anyone had this happen? It came from my mod car, was just driving thru the infield and the car locked up. Looks to be a bad piece of aluminum most likely, this was only the second run on the brand new car.

10,000+ laps with all of my cars. Never have seen that happen.

What did the bearings, eccentrics, input gear and gear case look like? Was it with the L or EVO car?

Happened once, hit the edge of puckboard at the end of a long straght and the car went from full speed to dead stopped. Huge amount of force to bend it like that, would have ripped the front end off a lesser car.

It's a evo, didn't even hit anything just hauling around the track and boom stopped.

Hi All,

The itch to try this car is getting strong and I was hoping to get a rough idea of what is exactly needed option-wise to make this car best suited on an indoor carpet track.

I most often race on low to medium traction carpet. This car would be used as my stock car (17.5) and would only see high traction at bigger races travelled to 2-3 times a year.

So beyond the EVO USA Spec kit, what other items do I need to get rolling and make the car best suited for the conditions I will race in (e.g. aluminum chassis, etc)?

Thanks in advance.

Did you have the diff covers on? It might have ingested some debris from the track, maybe a screw that come off another car? Outside an impact there isn't a lot of lateral force applied to the gear ring so if the aluminum was bad I would expect it to fail around the axle's axis, not laterally.

Ya I took the cover off earlier as it was just not letting everything move free enough for me, have run my other cars with the covers since new, must have just been a fluke screw or something picked up from the track

Medium to low traction running Stock classes I would go with the stock kit. It is an amazing vehicle and the current kit comes with a lot of what was previously upgrades. If you were going to run in higher traction environment I would look at AT21-S, the CO1AL-S chassis, AM33-5 spine, and the C21-2 topdeck.

Yeah, outside on Asphalt I run with the covers on since we have a lot of grit and gravel at the edges of our asphalt track and on carpet I run with the covers off. Been worried about something exactly like that where I take a piece of debris into the gears. Not much you can do other than vacuuming the track

If you are in BC, why not order from AwesomatixUSA?

Mainly because it's faster and cheaper from the eu. I get my order in 4 days and it's $18 in shipping, from the USA they want $40 and it's almost 2 weeks.
