Pretty amazing to look at the first 10 pages of this thread. That car still looks light years more advanced than the competitive set today.

I have been wondering how the rotary shocks work on these cars since getting my a700. the shocks are dosh pots. i found a great article on rotary shocks and how they work. from an f1 writer. gives a good idea how these work. not exactly because they are all different but a good idea how they work. http://scarbsf1.com/blog1/2011/11/25...otary-dampers/

This car is amazing. First test run today and it went great. Ran 4 battery packs total with 3 minor changes and the car is on rails. So glad I bought this car.

Hi,

Witch Brand of Spur Gears do you run with Spur Damper Set SD1?

Will Panaracer or RW be good for drilling the larger holes?
Thank's for any help.

Is there any reason I shouldn't leave AM-19, in the rear, on the car even if I'm running long links currently?

No, unless you're paranoid about saving a couple grams

Picked up some A700 Evos a few weeks back and finally had a chance to put it through its paces. I tested the car for the better part of this past Saturday and enjoyed learning a bit about the car.

I noticed that the compared to my belt cars, the Evo corners flatter and coasts much better through the corners. Once I began to refine my driving style a bit for this car, my lap times really began to drop.

I thoroughly enjoyed both working on and driving this car as most everything seems so simplified (Even though at first glance, it appears complex). I am excited to run it again at some point this weekend while on vacation for the 4th and look forward even more with this new addition.

It is good to see the ranks of racers continue to grow. We continue to take feedback and love to see new setup ideas. The platform continues to evolve, refining the he revolutionary design. Looking forward to whatever "magic" Oleg has for the Worlds!

I've only had success with 96t 64p panaracer gears. The challenge is finding spurs with only two holes on the gear.

First big race back with the A700. Finished 4th after the triple A-Mains, 13.5 class @ BFTR 2014. We had 3 full heats of 13.5. Very competitive field.

The car was on-point with a cool track on Saturday setting fast lap and best overall time of the weekend but I missed the setup once the track got hot.

A little more work, more carne asada and track time and it should be dialed in.

Much happier with the short link versions of Kyle's, Max's and Gee's setups. I was without the AM30. I assume that would have made the car better with the hotter track.

Happy hour, very happy in taxi cab yellow...

B-Main Mod was an interesting test - I used Maxs setup, white car #1, with short links in 13.5 trim vs. the mod guys. Knew I was going to get caught but the setup is pretty dialed. I needed one more run to decide which Evo setup I was going to run with for the triple main.

Thank's but with 96t the FDR is way to short need an FDR around 4.6.
So we need to wait till Oleg comes out with his own one's ?
I cannot believe that Oleg design an build's something that we can only use with one Spur Gear so please Oleg help us

If you use 64p gears a 96 tooth spur gear should be fine for the gear ratio you are looking for. A 96/43 spur pinion combo gets you to a 4.64 final drive ratio.
