The Awesomatix family keeps on growing. This party at IIC might be really big. For anyone looking for an A700L USA SPEC kits -- more are in the air right now. There are also A700EXL and A700EX available right now..

I think Scotty mentioned that Awesomatix has VIP pitting outside by the tire truer!

I haven't really been happy with my steering setup using the XRay servo saver. It's kind of a chunky monkey. Gonna try the Tamiya (with a black horn) next week.

I have had greater failure with the Tamiya 3 ring setup. The XRAY units dont get nearly as mushy as the Tamiya units do after months of use.

No doubt. I saw a post from someone saying they put a second black spring in the Tamiya saver, but I tried that and it wouldn't clear the 1pc servo mount.

What hole are you using in the XRay saver? Did you shim your servo away from the mount so the steering rack would clear it?

I use a Ko one10 servo and don't use a servo saver at all. One car has a Losi aluminum servo horn and the other uses a ko aluminum horn. No issues at all, I saw JD uses an aluminum Losi as well.

Top hole on the XRAY servo with 3mm of spacers under the ballstud link on the rack. You might have to relieve .025mm of material on the buttom side of the top deck. It might 'brush' the top deck without the additional clearance.

Ideally I should have redrilled the XRAY servo saver hole about .5mm below the top most hole.

In the past I would have gone to the aluminum arm for the outdoor season but that was until I found the XRAY 'optimized' servo saver

Dremel a half millimeter or so off the 1pc mount (maybe less) under the 4th spring. Half inch drum sander does the job nicely and you can't see it once its all put back together.

I've wondered about going to a solid horn and how it might work out on a track like ours. Blowing up my one10 would suck. I guess I could look into replacement gears to see what that would set me back.

Yeah, that's the same thing I experienced, where the top hole of the XRay saver was a bit too tall and the one below it was too low. I'll revisit it.

That's what I was doing as well. Wasn't sure if it was the right way to go about things.

Here is a pic of my servo mount converted to a fan mount. Hanulec was the genius behind the idea.

Thinking about shimming the drivetrain up 1mm in order to flatten the driveshaft angle. Can I expect more traction or less. Never used this adjustment when I had a conventional TC so was considering giving it a go. Anyone who knows what effect raising the diffs has please chime in.

It's not like I am easy on the boards some people do call me the Mangler!
