Yes, and you dont need to spend hours shaving the diff cases so they dont pinch the bearings

Is the 700L chassis still the best for stock on carpet and asphalt?

Back to back - my preference is more by motor class then by surface type.
  • 17.5/13.5 - L
  • 13.5/Mod - EX
I have done equally well with the EX in stock; seems I can get a more aggressive feel with the L.

A couple of weeks ago I went with an EX in 17.5 due to a high track temp and today with an L in 17.5 with a cool, higher bite track. The EX has a bigger window. Kinda like hitting with a Callaway.

Are you guys doing anything special to make sure your RHS are even? Just checking ride height from side-to-side doesn't seem to be enough. I end up with quite a tweak if I don't get them very close.

Default Screws

I took a dremel and marked a line in the head of the rhs with a cutoff wheel . Then I measure how far the rhs sticks out with the depth gauge on the end of my caliper . I start at .5 mm

I had another successful night with the A700L on the rug last night. I was able to beat the TQ from MHIC (set by Drew Ellis) which nobody has done yet, and the track record in the main.

My setup needs some work, the car is still too twitchy. However, it's SO fast through the corners that it doesn't matter. Drive it easy and go fast. There's yet more time to be found by further dialing in the setup. You can get away with that kind of stuff on your home track with a familiar layout.

I continue to be more encouraged and impressed by this car than anything else I've ever driven. More to come...

Syndrome - I'm confident we can remove that twitchy feeling. My cars started that way but once I hit on my current shock package that went away.

I'll be running carpet this Sunday so there should be some more data soon...
