Depend of witch part of the world you are but you will have great service from http://shop.awesomatixusa.com/ if you are in North America (you may have a local distributor that pass from AMX USA anyway).

For the "global" distribution site http://shop.awesomatix.com/ great service also. I suggest EMS postage for faster process and delivery.

For both no stress sometime the box is shipped before you have a tracking number

The part support is still great for the A700 because a lot of parts or internal are identical. You may even be able to take advantage from the development of the A800!

If you have any question with part compatibility just ask. The A700 and A800 manuals are your best friend

See you!

Hello, I will be running my A800 for the first time tomorrow. It was bought secondhand so have spent some time rebuilding it and trying to get used to the car.

If the car feels loose at the rear as I go on power what should I look at changing? I have the rear toe at 2.5 degrees and a 3k diff

Hi, I never really go lower than 3K on this diff you may try to put 3 degrees of toe in the rear at first or shim the rear steering arms until you have 2.5 static and 3 full compression (less shim is more active bumpsteer or active toe if you prefer). Rear active toe is disconcerting at first but I use it even on high grip level and learn to love it in higher turn classes to gain a little bit more speed in the straights to help me win the "straight TQ" like my friends call it
I suggest to chose a setup already made that is close to your racing condition and play with droop and ride height at first.
The A800 react a lot on belt tension also so if you know that the geometry is good try to play with that.
I suggest for your A800 to post here in the future it's a dedicated A800 thread : http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...g-car-147.html

Good luck!

Thanks for that and the pointer to the A800 thread, I did not realise there was one.

I'm looking at purchasing my first awesomatix, I can't figure out which one to get. A700 evo 2 with floating rear or the A800. If you guys were in the market for a new one, which would you go for?

TIA!

I've got a killer deal on an excellent a800 with a ton of parts. Well over 400$ in new parts plus the decked out a800a. Let me know if anyone's interested.

Yeah they are all switching to TC4's after watching you race.

That depends on the class you are racing.

For VTA and USGT, the A700 is very good, and used examples are very affordable. The shaft drive seems to be an advantage for low-horsepower classes.

For 17.5 TC, it is difficult to get the A700 balanced side-to-side and still hit the new 1350g minimum weight. The A800 balances better since the motor is hanging off the left side, countering the heavy LiPo.

By the way, you really don't need the floating rear gearbox (or the floating front gearbox, for that matter). I removed the FFG's from all of my cars, and I am quite happy with them.
