Hi Mike that stuff is awesome. I soaked the originals in the the Dow55 and it was a huge improvement, I just thought I'd give the silicone O rings a try.

Going to pick up some Dow55 today since I'm going to be rebuilding my dampers with new O-rings this weekend. How long is a good amount of time to soak the O-rings before I do the install?

Hoping this will address my oil seepage issue enough to hold me over until I can get some D2.1 upgrade parts.

I just put it on as i rebuilt the dampers. Dipped the o ring in a little grease, put the o ring in and then put in a little extra grease with my wrench before i put the bearing in. I did my rebuilds the night before racing, worked good so far

My A700s (EXL and Evo) has been pushing so much mid corner, I have to lift off throttle just to get the car pass the corner. I run at an outdoor asphalt track for 1/8 with wide bends and great traction. No matter I duplicate different posted settings on the cars or go by my own fiddled with the suspension and tried different tyres nothing changed the pushing persisted. It was so bad that I shelved them for some time now. Any clue on setting or things that I should try before I let them go?

Is anyone traction rolling? (Not just u..)

I'd play with rear grip only because u say there is high grip. Normally on asphalt your hunting for rear grip.

Try each of these by themselves first-

Less Rear toe
Add more shims on the am23 toe link to reduce rear toe under suspension compression
Add shims (2mm+) to the inner rear camber link
Less rear camber
Thicker diff oil. 5k+

Please reply back with a filled out setup sheet so we can actually help. Please list the track, tires and traction compound too..

Thanks for the tip.

No the car is not traction rolling.

I don't know how to post my setup sheet, but I would put down my setting for the Evo with graphite chassis below:

Camberlinks: All on the outer holes. Shims: FF 4mm FR 2mm RF 2mm RR 2mm tip of a-arms on all corners 2mm

No shims under A arms
Bump steer shims F0.5mm R4mm
Camber on all corners: 1.5
Caster 4
Toe-out 1
Ride height F5.5mm R6mm
Shock setting F 2mm/3mm (79.5gf/mm) R2mm 4mm (86.3gf/mm)
10.5T motor FDR7.49
Rear diff GD2 with 2000 diff fluid
Tires Team Powers
Other things according to manual

The track is overseas. Outdoor asphalt smooth with wide bends and long straights designed for 1/8. Not technical and high speed, very easy track I must say. My other cars (BD7/TRF) would traction roll at times, but not the A700s. The problem is even with this non-technical track with wide bends my A700s push too much mid of the turn, so much so I had to let the car roll through the turn. The same is not with my BD7 nor my TRF419 at stock setting with the same tires and more powerful motors, and even my T4 won't be as pushy at the middle of the turn. Even stock setting A700EXL pushed, I thought the Evo might be different, but it very much feel the same as the EXL.

Thanks for any help

blackshark3 - you want short camber links. mounting camber links onto the bulkheads will make the car lazy

i'd add 0.5mm under the AT21 or 1mm under AT21s balls.

i'd also recommend either flat, or FF lower than FR on camber links.

are you shocks type 1 or type 2 config? i don't know which # u list above are the A and B values.

Are you running the same bodies between these vehicles? What body are you running on your A700? At my local asphalt track which body I run makes a pretty big impact on if I'm going to have under or over steer. I would imagine that impact is even more significant on a larger/faster track.

On asphalt, if you're having setup issues -- you should run the default body -- Protoform LTC-R LtWt. It is the gold standard. Other bodies might have other advantages/disadvantages --- but all of us know how the LTC-R performs.

Christophe Charlier and his A700 is second in the belgian national stock (10.5) this weekend in rainy conditions. The car was easy and effective.

The cars was great ! Very consistant and fast. My stock car (Evo2) was really money.

Default EVO llC vs EVO ll

I am debating to try the EVO ll for Blinky 17.5 on carpet. Which is the prefer chassis for carpet (low to Medium traction) and why?

Aluminum chassis for carpet for sure. The stiffer chassis plus the lower cg make it better suited for carpet level traction. The aluminum chassis kit also includes the brace for the chassis so you can tune the flex for your traction level
