Personally I use the DT03 in the "no flex" position (the recess on the side of the spur) to act as a bearing spacer.
John doesn't have it in his build either. I used his blog as my go to during the entire build.

My shaft does not look like this pic at all

The package shows AT04-2 but the one i have does not taper as far back as in the picture, but about 1mm after the "T-ball" part on both ends, and it looks like it's touching my steering guide. Anyone else have a shaft like this?

The drive shaft I have is the lower one in the picture. I haven't had any issues with it touching the steering guide.

Hi Oleg/Mike,

Can you confirm if these are the complete set of parts needed for the A700-C01AL-S2 Upgrade?

- A700-C01AL-S2
- A700-P06-1
- A700-AM33-5
- A700-AM49-3

Plus, when will be the FCB - Flexible Caster Block Set will be available at your good site?

Best regards,
JC

Hi JC,

This list is correct.
You will need also few SF3x5 or SF3x6 and one SB3x6 screw for mounting of AM33-5 and AM49-3 but I hope that you have enough such screws in your pit box already.

Cheers, Oleg!

Will be placing them soon. I am just waiting for the FCB set so I'll get them altogether.

Thank you, once again, sir.

JC

have two of the type you're describing must be a AT04-2 RevA and the one in the photo is an AT04-2 RevB. Mine doesn't rub on the steering rack, it is very tight but after a few weekends of use I have no rub marks near the steering rack.

I noticed my AT04-2 was rubbing slightly on the steering rack upon initial installation, but this was easily rectified by adding .5mm shimming between the aluminum bulkhead and the AM10 steering plate. (Moves it down slightly).

Just be sure and double-check the shimming for your servo rod after doing this to make sure it's not rubbing on the drive shaft. You may need to shim the ball stud up .5mm to compensate.
