I hope it works as well for others, as it has for myself.

This set up is for a lower to medium traction track.

I ran it with a Mazda Speed6 mainly. But did try a Dart this past weekend and felt like it was just as good.
how did you like the car running soft springs compared to the standard kit ones that come with the evo 2

I have never ran anything but the soft springs. Those were what came in the Evo kits and seemed to be what everyone was using.

you're best option is probably the C01AL-S2 (from Evo II kit) or the C01AL-S
both are being produced still
C01AL-S2 is more narrow, but the narrowness limits how far out you can run your dampers. 3.6mm for an 'A' gap is the maximum on C01AL-S2 vs 6-7mm on the C01AL-S

I ended up running with 'A' gaps 4.0 in the front, 4.4mm in the rear on the new chassis with no ill effects. Just got to make sure the dampers are straight and tighten the clamping screw firmly.

One thing to keep in mind is that the one piece motor mount you probably have on your cars may not work on the C01AL-S2 chassis. I believe a hole or two needed for that mount don't exist on the newest chassis (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I think you'll need the new motor mount if you go with this one.

The C01AL-S chassis, however, works fine with the one piece mount.

Hey guys lets see if anyone can help me I have been running my evo1 in 17.5 on carpet for less than a month I have broken 3 spools the gear cracks between the teeth and comes off of the aluminum part , 2 of them were the at03 I guess and one was the at03m-s 2 of them broke with a traction roll and the other one just seemed to fail with no big impact , what iam I doing wrong? Do I need a spur damper? Is my ffg set up wrong? also dont know if it has any effect on the part but each time i have broken one it has been pretty cold ,mid to high 30'f

charlie - you should provide the additional context about the cold (near 0 C) warehouse that you are racing within...

Wow....I've been on same spool for 6 months with no issues. Have you been going thru front axles also? do you have the lock stop screws the "knuckles"? Wondering if your hitting boards and having the axles over actuated and locking up the front end? Usually when I have a good hit the FFG twists. on the rod...I think kind of like a shear pin.

no bent or broken axles i havent ever had a turnbuckle pop off i do have the stop screws in the knuckles not really hiting anything but i guess when you traction roll you are hitting the ground
